In my family the season of Lent has always breathed new life into our home worship. Whether there's a loss of momentum coming out of Christmas or a general caving to the chaos of various schedules, we seem to be out of practice of gathering by the time Ash Wednesday pops up on the calendar.

I don't know how, but the solemnity of Lent usually matches the state of my soul. It gives me room to grieve the state of the world, to sit in reflection over my sins, and to long for restoration.

Where I look forward to the pensiveness of Lent, I thirst for the drama of Holy Week. There is such a beautiful and tragic narrative that we are all invited into.

If you are longing to engage with the steps of Christ as we remember his path to Golgotha, if you want to redeem this odd time were we all find ourselves isolated, if you want to begin the ministry of teaching those closest to you about the message of the cross, then download this packet I have prepared first for my family and offer to yours.

This packet provides worship guides and activities (including Stations of the Cross) that stretch from Holy Monday all the way to Holy Saturday. In the spirit of the Triduum service - an unbroken service that spans the three holy days of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Holy Saturday - the guides in this packet aim to create a crescendo of anticipation for Easter, so that this year we will all truly long to sing "Christ the Lord is risen today!"

The Holy Week Worship Guides and other guides can always be accessed through the Resources page of this website.

The Lord is full of compassion and mercy:*

O come, let us adore him.
